Classical Revolution ICT Debuts “Rhapsody in Brew” Pop-Up at Redbud Brewing

AUGUSTA, KS – Classical Revolution ICT will present Rhapsody in Brew, a free, pop-up classical music event, on Wednesday, May 6 from 7:00–8:30 PM at Redbud Brewing, located at 418 State St, Augusta, KS.

Marking the organization’s first event at Redbud Brewing, Rhapsody in Brew continues Classical Revolution ICT’s mission of bringing live classical music out of traditional concert halls and into informal community spaces. The group regularly produces Bach & Brews at Tor Brewing in Wichita and Beethoven & Beer at Sandhills Brewing in Hutchinson.

The May 6 program features Redbud brewer and percussionist, Denver Ridgway, Augusta-based clarinetist Madeline Natvig, and the Orpheus Saxophone Quartet, including James Hoerst, Andrew Carlson, June Green, and Cole Ashcraft.

The event will include three short sets of live music, offering a mix of chamber ensembles in a relaxed, social setting. Unlike traditional concerts, audience members are encouraged to come and go, chat with friends, and engage with performers throughout the evening.

“Pop-up events like Rhapsody in Brew give us a chance to meet new audiences and partner with spaces like Redbud,” said Alex Johnson, Founder and Coordinator of Classical Revolution ICT. “Having one of Redbud’s own, Denver Ridgway, on the program plus Madeline Natvig as another Augusta local makes this event especially meaningful. It’s a great way to connect the music directly to the community.”

Admission is free, with donations encouraged to support musicians and future programming. The event is family-friendly and open to the public.
