Board of Directors & Ambassadors



The Board of Directors is the policy-making body of the Chamber of Commerce, and as such, we are the major workforce of the Chamber of Commerce.  

Our Board Members represent a broad cross-section of the business and professional leadership of our community.  A director is very important to the Board, so an understanding is in order about each Board Member’s responsibilities. These responsibilities include:

  1. Individual Membership to Go! Augusta or Business Membership you represent.
  2. Attendance and participation at strategic meetings for the enhancement of our Chamber.
  3. Attendance at the Annual Dinner & Awards.
  4. Attendance at Board meetings once a month from Noon to 1:00 p.m. on the Third Wednesday of the month.
  5. Attendance at 50 % of all Chamber-sponsored events, Ribbon-Cuttings, Business-After-Hours, and fundraising events.
  6. Attendance at special events to promote the Chamber or City.
  7. Assisting in Chamber fund-raising activities to include the sale of tickets, etc.
  8. Serve on at least one task force of your choice, or as may be requested by the President. 
  9. Perform such duties as may be requested from time to time by the President and/or Board of Directors. 

A board orientation manual containing the Chamber’s Policies & Procedures, Bylaws and many other documents will help you be an informed representative of the Chamber Board and support the organization, its programs, and policies, and to do all that you can to develop and uphold the high standards set by the previous Board of Directors.

2026 Ambassadors

An Ambassador's primary focus will be to recruit, welcome, and nurture new members, programs and services, and to the membership in general whereby encouraging participation. The Ambassadors will help in the retention of the current membership by attending a variety of functions and activities as the goodwill arm of Go! Augusta.
