History

Since opening its doors at the end of February 2025, the expert team at Central Body Company has been providing top-tier collision repair, bodywork, and maintenance services for RVs, Living Quarter Horse Trailers, buses, fleet trucks, and large specialty vehicles — proudly carrying on a tradition of craftsmanship and customer service that began in Omaha, NE in 1977.

In 2024, Central Body Company purchased the former Wichita RV property, launching a complete gut-and-renovation project led by a powerhouse crew of four. With determination, skill, and pride, the team transformed the site into a state-of-the-art facility perfectly suited for their “BIG and TALL” specialty — handling the kind of large-scale jobs that most shops simply can’t accommodate.

Nestled conveniently between Augusta and Andover along HWY 54, Central Body Company’s newest branch is now a go-to destination for body and collision repair, fiberglass restoration, full-service maintenance, and complete insurance claim handling — from start to finish. Whether it’s collision, weather damage, or everyday wear and tear, the team ensures every vehicle leaves their shop in peak condition.

Now a team of five, Central Body Company’s Wichita-area crew brings more than 100 years of combined experience to the shop floor. Their lineup includes two top-notch fiberglass and body technicians, the area’s premier painter, Gregg and Pete, a highly skilled service technician, John, and their illustrious manager, Scott — a familiar name in the Colorado tourism RV industry with over 30 years of experience running one of the largest RV body shops in the region. After relocating to Kansas for family health reasons, Scott has been instrumental in shaping the Andover facility’s success.

Rounding out the team is Jake, who’s newer to the RV body and service industry but brings a sharp eye for maintenance and customer care, and Chérie — the Administrative powerhouse learning the ins and outs of estimating under Scott’s expert guidance. Together, they’ve created a seamless experience for customers that combines precision craftsmanship with warm, personalized service.

From the first phone call to the final polish, our team takes pride in doing things right.”
