I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed spending time with family and friends while also taking time to remember and honor the loved ones we have lost. Go! • Saturday, June 27^th at 1pm – Watch the Cowtown Museum Team take on the Kansas Cannons, at the Rodney Wheeler Baseball Stadium – Sponsored by the Augusta Recreation Commission

• The P.E.O. is having their annual garage sale during the City Wide Garage Sale, with all money raised for a scholarship for a local Senior!
• Saturday, June 13^th – Brick Street Bazaar-9am-4pm / Do you do sell homemade goods or handmade items?  Share them at our bazaar!  Register as a vendor at 2026 Brick Street Bazaar

• Saturday, June 13^th –REDBUD BREWING TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!   They are turning TWO and throwing a party to celebrate another incredible year with the best community around! Keep Watch for All The Happenings!

Celebrate America Parade – On July 4^th, join us for a joyful, family-friendly parade celebrating America's 250th Anniversary — a vibrant community procession honoring our shared history, diversity, and hope for the future. All ages are welcome to march, perform, ride on floats, carry banners, or cheer from the sidelines. 

Whether you’re a local band, scout troop, dance group, veteran organization, school club, business, or family with creative costumes, we want you to be part of this memorable celebration.

Register today at "Celebrating America" Parade and help make this milestone anniversary parade an inclusive, unforgettable celebration for generations to come!

 Augusta Historical Museum – 2026 Summer Sporting Clay Fun Shoot!  

• Saturday, June 27^th Registration at 10am.  It will be held at STC Sporting Club, 1419 SW 120^th St, Augusta.

• Ammo/Gun Rental available at STC
• Entry Fee:  $50 per player / 4-person Teams
• Fee includes round of 50 shot

• Proceeds to go the maintenance of the Historic C.N. James Cabin

Augusta Public Library – Check out what all the library has to offer you and your family at https://augustapubliclibrary.com   Some of the things this week they are offering are Club Meetings, Recommended Books to read, after school activities, family nights, Preschool Storytimes, book buddies, and Lego challenges.  

Augusta Rec Center - The Augusta Rec Center is offering SO many things for you, your family, seniors and anyone that wants to be active!  Learn to Play Piano, Zumba, Self Defense for Women, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Co-ed Volleyball – Recreation Rumble!  To see or register for any of these activities, go to their website at Augusta Rec Center.

Senior Community Lunch First Tuesday of each Month!  Click on the link for more information!  Enjoy good food. Great conversation. Even better company. Join them for their monthly Senior Community Lunch at Butler Community College — a delicious homestyle meal and time to connect with friends, old and new.  We’re proud to serve our local seniors and can’t wait to see you at the table!

Gambino’s Pizza – Augusta - Gambino’s is excited to share that not only are they restarting Monday buffet, but every Monday AND Tuesday in the month of April, they will be offering lunch buffet for JUST $9.99 (plus tax)! As always, kids under 10 pay their age. If you've never tried our lunch buffet, there's no better time. They hope to see you there!

Click on 2026 Kansas Cannons for the summer scheduled.  The summer season for the Kansas Cannons begin on Friday, May 29^th, playing Junction City Brigade, 7pm, at the Rodney Wheeler Baseball Field, at the High School.

Redbud Brewing - Saturday, June 13^th –REDBUD BREWING TWO YEAR ANNIVERSARY!   They are turning TWO and throwing a party to celebrate another incredible year with the best community around! Lily Lake Kansas / Located at 9010 SW River Road, Augusta - If you have kids and haven’t checked out Lily Lake Kansas, now is the time.  Lily Lake Kansas is a homeschool learning center and indoor play cafe created to provide local families a shared space to work, learn, grow, and thrive.  They have activities, events and socialization for your kids!  The sun isn't the only thing staying up later, their “Play Café” is extending its hours!

Starting next week, you can let the kiddos get out that evening energy while you sip a coffee and enjoy a gourmet toast in our vibrant, energetic Play Cafe.  Lily Lake Kansas is a great place for your kids to spend some of their summer!

Mega Pines Mini Golf  - There are a lot of things going on at Mega Pines Mini Golf, getting ready for new things for you to see when you come to play some mini golf!  

Congratulations to Kelli Miller, owner of Mega Pines Mini Golf.  She has shared with us, they are 1 of 10 small businesses in Kansas that were awarded a grant from American Express / Main Street Small Business Grant. Watch on the Facebook page, more information on their upcoming Go Kart Track!  And check their website for hours when they are open and special events. 

Sam’s Fudge – Est. 1988 - Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth by shopping at Sam’s Fudge, 407 State Street, Augusta.  Not only does Sam have the most delicious chocolates, (also sugar free), he also bakes up his yummy cinnamon rolls.  Go and check out all the sweets he has to offer!  He is open M-F, 9am-5pm, Saturdays, 8am-2pm, and closed on Sundays. 

Sugar Shane’s Café - Check out their weekly specials at Sugar Shane's Cafe.  They are always adding things to their menu, with exciting specials, follow them on Facebook Page, so you don’t miss out! And don’t forget Sugar Shane’s for all your catering needs!

Augusta Public Schools – Students and Teachers are now officially out of school for the summer. To keep up on the latest news, events, visit the district’s website at www.usd402.com.  Once there, you can select from the menu for information and forms you need to for the upcoming 2026-27 School Year!  Be sure to follow the Augusta School District on its Facebook page for updates on construction at district buildings!
