- Saturday, June 27th at 1pm – Watch the Cowtown Museum Team take on the Kansas Cannons, at the Rodney Wheeler Baseball Stadium – Sponsored by the Augusta Recreation Commission

- Saturday, July 4th at 2pm – Celebrate America 250 with an Ice Cream Social, sponsored by Augusta Dillions

Celebrate America Parade – On July 4th, join us for a joyful, family-friendly parade celebrating America's 250th Anniversary — a vibrant community procession honoring our shared history, diversity, and hope for the future. All ages are welcome to march, perform, ride on floats, carry banners, or cheer from the sidelines.
Whether you’re a local band, scout troop, dance group, veteran organization, school club, business, or family with creative costumes, we want you to be part of this memorable celebration.

Augusta Historical Museum – 2026 Summer Sporting Clay Fun Shoot!
- Saturday, June 27th Registration at 10am. It will be held at STC Sporting Club, 1419 SW 120th St, Augusta.

Augusta Rec Center - The Augusta Rec Center is offering SO many things for you, your family, seniors and anyone that wants to be active! Learn to Play Piano, Zumba, Self Defense for Women, Yin Yoga, Chair Yoga, Co-ed Volleyball – Recreation Rumble! Click on 2026 Kansas Cannons for the summer scheduled. The summer season for the Kansas Cannons begin on Friday, May 29th, playing Junction City Brigade, 7pm, at the Rodney Wheeler Baseball Field, at the High School.

Lily Lake Kansas / Located at 9010 SW River Road, Augusta - If you have kids and haven’t checked out Lily Lake Kansas, now is the time. Lily Lake Kansas is a homeschool learning center and indoor play cafe created to provide local families a shared space to work, learn, grow, and thrive. They have activities, events and socialization for your kids! The sun isn't the only thing staying up later, their “Play Café” is extending its hours!
Starting next week, you can let the kiddos get out that evening energy while you sip a coffee and enjoy a gourmet toast in our vibrant, energetic Play Cafe. Lily Lake Kansas is a great place for your kids to spend some of their summer!
Mega Pines Mini Golf - There are a lot of things going on at Mega Pines Mini Golf, getting ready for new things for you to see when you come to play some mini golf!

She has shared with us, they are 1 of 10 small businesses in Kansas that were awarded a grant from American Express / Main Street Small Business Grant. Sam’s Fudge – Est. 1988 - Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth by shopping at Sam’s Fudge, 407 State Street, Augusta. Not only does Sam have the most delicious chocolates, (also sugar free), he also bakes up his yummy cinnamon rolls. Go and check out all the sweets he has to offer! He is open M-F, 9am-5pm, Saturdays, 8am-2pm, and closed on Sundays.

Once there, you can select from the menu for information and forms you need to for the upcoming 2026-27 School Year! Be sure to follow the Augusta School District on its Facebook page for updates on construction at district buildings!
