While things have slowed down a bit at the Go! Augusta Office, we're still busy planning exciting opportunities for our community!

We're currently preparing for our new ABC Market at The Depot, with markets scheduled for August 16, September 20, and October 18 at 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial on State Street. We're also gearing up for our Annual Homecoming Parade and Community Tailgate on Friday, October 2. Watch for more details coming soon!

The Go! Augusta Newsletter is your source for local businesses, nonprofits, events, and community happenings. Events and Happenings!  Check out the Go! Augusta website and our business websites for specifics!

  • Augusta Public Library - The Kansas State Fair has provided a limited number of entry tickets to the state fair to be given as prizes to individuals who finish the 2026 summer reading challenge "Unearth a Story".  We appreciate this addition to our prize packet!  
  • USD #402-Augusta, The Summer Lunch Program is still going on and available for all children ages, 1-18, free of charge!
  • Where:  Robinson Community Center, 1301 Helen StreetEnter:  Use Door 7, on the westside of the building.  Dates:  Monday through Friday, May 26-July 31.
  • Time:  12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
  • Nutritious meals will be served daily, and all children must eat lunch in the lunchroom.
  • Lunch Menu:  The summer lunch menu will be available on the Augusta USD 402 at the top under Popular Links>Meal Menus and will be located under Garfield, once they are posted.  
  • Mega Pines Mini Golf - Mark your calendars! As part of our (Click link for download app) Sunflower Summer App experience we will be hosting special events every Monday (July 20th, July 27th, and August 3rd)
  • Time Begins:  10:30am
  • Cost is regular admission ($12.00 for mini golf or $5 for just yard games or observer- it covers insurance for having people on the grounds).
  • Stay as long as you want, feel free to bring a picnic- food, drinks, stay as long as you want.
  • Read aloud and activities by a certified teacher geared to elementary age students.
  • Reminder to download the Sunflower Summer App and claim a ticket and school age children and 1 adult can come once for free!

  • Augusta Historical Museum – Be sure to check out all of Augusta’s History, events and activities they provide for our community at Augusta Historical Museum
  • Augusta Historic Theatre - Minions & Monsters - Saturday, July 25th, 7:30pm & Sunday, July 26th, 2:00pm, with tickets only $5.00!
  • Augusta Rec Center - Grab a partner and get ready for the Partner Basketball Challenges on Saturday, August 1st starting at 12:00 PM!  Teams of two will compete in a variety of basketball challenges using a point system to determine our champions! Divisions: • High School Division• Adult Division, Max of 6 teams per division.  If needed, divisions may be combined based on participation.   • Augusta High School Soccer Camp Registration is OPEN! Looking for a fun way to keep your child active this summer while developing their soccer skills?   • Butler Community College is celebrating their centennial in 2026-2027. Window clings and a business resource sheet are available at the Go! Augusta Office or by emailing [email protected]! They appreciate our community supporting this milestone anniversary.
  • Senior Community Lunch First Tuesday of each Month!  Click on the link for more information!  Enjoy good food. Great conversation. Even better company. Join them for their monthly Senior Community Lunch at Butler Community College — a delicious homestyle meal and time to connect with friends, old and new.  We’re proud to serve our local seniors and can’t wait to see you at the table! 
  • Core Community Augusta!  Now, through November, there is a unique way to support this organization!

Marketplace 67010 – Summer is here, so check out their “cool” coolers!  Lightweight, super durable, and sustainable, too!  They also float!  The perfect summer necessity.  Take some time to shop and see everything they have to offer!

Park Bench Brewing - Park Bench Brewing is open every day except for Tuesdays!  Every other Wednesday is Music Bingo, go and listen to music, and enjoy playing Bingo!  Check out for all of their events at their webpage at Park Bench Brewing Co. and for their hours. 

Redbud Brewing - Redbud Brewing is open every day except for Mondays and Sundays.  Check out their hours, great music (almost every weekend), and specials at Redbud Brewing

Mega Pines Mini Golf  - The Go Carts have arrived!  Click Mega Pines Mini Golf for information and updates when the racetrack will be ready for you to enjoy!  Until then, take a drive out to the mini golf course and enjoy a day, afternoon or evening playing minature golf and games!

Sam’s Fudge – Est. 1988 - Don’t forget to satisfy your sweet tooth by shopping at Sam’s Fudge, 407 State Street, Augusta.  Not only does Sam have the most delicious chocolates, (also sugar free), he also bakes up his yummy cinnamon rolls.  Go and check out all the sweets he has to offer!  He is open M-F, 9am-5pm, Saturdays, 8am-2pm, and closed on Sundays. 

Sugar Shane’s Café - Check out their weekly specials at Sugar Shane's Cafe.  Soon they will be adding items to their fall menu, along with exciting specials!  And don't forget to follow them on their Facebook Page, so you don’t miss out! And don’t forget Sugar Shane’s for all your catering needs!

Augusta Public Schools – To keep up on the latest news, events, visit the district’s website at www.usd402.com.  Once there, you can select from the menu for information and forms you need to for the upcoming 2026-27 School Year!  Be sure to follow the Augusta School District on its Facebook page for updates on construction at district buildings!

Augusta Merchandise!  Come down to the Depot to shop Augusta Merchandise at the Go! Augusta Office and Marketplace 67010.  We both have t-shirts, large and small tumblers, wine tumblers, coffee cups, magnets, cute holders for lipgloss & Chapstick, and postcards.  Come downtown to check out what we have!

Red Brick Bucks!  Anytime is a great time to do some shopping for yourself or someone else!  For more information about them, click Red Brick Bucks  We have a lot of the Red Buck Bricks out in the community that have not been used for purchases at our participating businesses.  So, don’t forget to go and use those BUCKS!  They are the same as cash!
