The 2023 Motorcycle Cannonball Run - Pre 1933 welcomed in Augusta

On Thursday, September 14th - the Motorcycle Cannonball Run made its 7th stop on this grueling 18-day endurance race.  This was quite an exciting event for Augusta - people by the hundreds lined up to welcome the riders into our city.  I got to enjoy my time checking in the riders, crew, and staff as they rode in for a wonderful treat provided by Kelly Modlin and the folks at Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum.  I met so many people from all over the US - and the world!  Riders from France, Italy, Poland, Australia, and Germany just to name a few.  The riders were in for quite a surprise at the pampering and fabulous meal provided by the Twisted Oz crews and their volunteers!  When they checked in - they received a goodie bag and a T-Shirt.  They could then go and get a free massage before being treated to a hearty steak and potato dinner.  Many of the riders commented that this was their favorite stop along the way. While waiting for the riders to arrive the visitors got to tour the amazing Twisted Oz Motorcycle Museum - shop cannonball vendors and enjoy dinner from Flutterbye Mobile Catering.

What's With the Women's Restroom at Twisted Oz Museum???

I won't let the cat out of the bag - but I heard so many funny comments from the female visitors using the restroom in the motorcycle museum.  It's just something you have to see!  Ladies - do yourself a favor and visit the museum - there is so much more to see than just motorcycles - and make sure you use the restroom while you are there.
