Director of Technology

SUMMARY:     This 12 month, full-time, exempt position is responsible for the overall technological operations of the district, including development, education, and facilitation of the district’s endeavors.     

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:     Other duties may be assigned.

• Creates the district’s technological strategic plans.

• Directs program installation and maintenance; hardware setup and relocation; and the setting up of the LAN/WAN for file and print servers, email, and internet.

• Reviews and evaluates district software.

• Coordinates the purchase of district hardware and software.

• Responsible for technology site licenses and copyright laws, coordinating material usage across the district.

• Develops the district software library.

• Manage and prioritize the day-to-day technology plans.

• Assists staff in reviewing, evaluating, and selecting educational technology to enhance curriculum.

• Reviews the performance and directs the actions of the technology department.
